  I have been thinking of something to write concerning the politically charged time we find our selves living in right now.

It is open season from the liberal left on conservatism, conservatives and the “religious right.!” 

We {society} are entering into the times that Jesus of Nazareth spoke of; Matthew 10:22

“You will be hated by everyone because of me, . .” The Gods honest truth is those who buy into the lib spiel don’t even realize they are the ones spoughing/spewing hate!

Paul, one of the writers of the New Testament Epistles put it this way:

Ephesians 6:12

“For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, . .”

For sure we are struggling against rulers, authorities, the powers of this dark world and against spiritual forces of evil.

The violence of the past Jan. 6th. Wasn’t the answer. The darkness can reside in a lot of different hearts.

Exo 20:4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.

5. You shall not bow down to them or worship them;


I am afraid that society has never considered that denying "God" is a form of "hate."

I doubt the "shooters" had ever heard that from any preacher or from any Christian friends or neighbors.

(We will get to "thou shalt not" later)

IDOLATRY can take many forms.

Something as simple as skipping church for NFL on Sunday (not to mention the "Sabbath to keep it Holy")


Pastor Timothy Keller wrote: "the idols that drive us are complex, multi layered and largely hidden from us." (Counterfeit gods)


Ones Ideology can become a driving force in every day life. It seems this violence is mostly driven by their ideology!

Hate blinded their eyes, hidden in their ideology is IDOLATRY!


We have let down society with a quiet Gospel, because some shouted "judgmental"! We have tempered our witness to God loves you just the way you are, instead of proclaiming "Therefore hear the word of the Lord" Isaiah 28:14

The name; Jesus

Many of the names in the Bible that refer to our Lord: Son of God, The Lamb of God, The Light of the World, The Resurrection and the Life, The Bright and Morning Star, He that Should Come, Alpha and Omega. The phrase “There are no words to express...” is really the only one that can honestly be applied to God. No names do Him justice.
   Jesus .
In the gospels it’s His most common name — used almost six hundred times.
It is worth noting that those who knew Him best remembered Him as Jesus. Those who walked with Him remembered Him not with a title or designation, but with a name — Jesus.

Think about the implications. When God chose to reveal Himself to mankind, what medium did He use? A book? No, 
 A church? No. 
 A moral code? No.
To limit God’s revelation to a cold list of dos and don’ts is tragic.
When God chose to reveal Himself, He did so (surprise of surprises) through a human body. The tongue that called forth the dead was a human one.
The hand that touched the leper had dirt under its nails.
The feet upon which the woman wept were calloused and dusty. And His tears... oh, don’t miss the tears... they came from a heart as broken as yours or mine ever has been.
-For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses. — Hebrews 4:15
So, people came to Him. My, how they came to Him! They came at night; they touched Him as He walked down the street; they invited Him into their homes and placed their children at His feet. Why? Because He refused to be a statue in a cathedral or a priest in an elevated pulpit. He chose instead to be Jesus. There was not one person who was reluctant to approach Him for fear of being rejected.
Remember. It is man who creates the distance. It is Jesus who builds the bridge.
